BANDUNG, INDONESIA — Malaysia achieved a spectacular and record-breaking triumph at the Five Nations 2025 Stamp Exhibition, hosted by Indonesia from 27 to 30 November 2025 at Graha Pos Bandung.
In a historic first, Malaysia secured medals for all 9 of its 9 exhibits, delivering a flawless 100% medal success rate — the strongest national performance ever recorded in Five Nations competition history.
The milestone was officially confirmed by Malaysia’s National Commissioner, Mr. Azharuddin Md Azmi, who hailed the result as a defining moment for Malaysian philately on the regional stage.
Malaysia also celebrated a major breakthrough when Mr. Chung Ling’s exhibit, “British Borneo: Japanese Invasion, Occupation and British Re-Occupation 1942–1945”, was awarded a Large Gold Medal and Special Prize — marking the first time a Malaysian exhibit has earned the highest honour at the prestigious Five Nations showcase.
The 11-member Malaysian delegation was led by Mr. Muhamed Salim bin Mohd Ali, President of the Philatelic Society of Malaysia (PSM), joined by Perlis State Government representatives Mr. Nazrulizam bin Kamaruddin and Ms. Nursyazwani binti Rusnan, who attended the event as part of preparations for Malaysia’s hosting of Five Nations 2026, scheduled for September 2026 in the State of Perlis.
Malaysia’s participation at Five Nations 2025 included three junior exhibitors, reflecting the nation’s growing investment in philatelic talent development.
